Good news comes in pairs! We’ve just been certified the completion of an Internal Brand Audit and also awarded the Singapore Prestige Class Awards 2016/2017! We are indeed very honoured to win this highly competitive and coveted award from the Singapore Business Media Pte Ltd.
This award is established with the belief that utilising and endorsing quality training to develop the skills of employees will play a large role in refining and revolutionising Singapore’s business landscape. It will put the best of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the limelight, demonstrate their best practices and achievements and exhibit their brand name on an international scale.

Ascend Com is delighted to partner with Kingsmen Project Pte Ltd, to develop Robinsons the Heeren first ever smart retail pop-up store aimed at providing retailers with analytics in order to optimise their product offerings and bringing retail to life.
The smart pop-up retail space is embedded with in-store analytics hardware and software, allowing store and merchandise concentration to be tracked daily. Through media sensors, the footfall and kinetic map of a customer’s movement are captured daily and then insightful data is generated, enabling brand merchants to effectively offer relevant additional products or content offerings based on the data they gathered.
Using smart pop-up store (i.e. retail analytics), brands within Robinsons are empowered to engage their customers in a more unique, personalised way beyond the traditional departmental store. For instance, Robinsons the Heeren can reformat visual merchandise displays after identifying their main target group for various promotion campaigns etc.

After months of working with P&G client and anticipating for the store to open, the SK-II Interactive Tester Bar is finally installed at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 Departure Hall.
This interactive application allows consumers to find out more about SK-II products, simply by putting the product on the Multi-taction table. They will be able to retrieve product information and watch videos. This technology also allows multiple users to use it at the same time and even when you are standing in the opposite direction!
Our video production team also play a part by producing a teaser video that is play along at the side of the counter to provide instruction on how to use the interactive.

A special exhibition on Dr. Sun Yat Sen and his family was recently taken place at Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall.
We were tasked to provide a few interactive displays featuring late Dr. Sun Yat Sen and his family. In honour of the contribution of Dr. Sun Yat Sen and his family, the interactive are designed to showcase their background as well as their strong family ties. Meanwhile, it aims to keep the younger generations engaged and appealed to learn more about Dr. Sun Yat Sen by incorporating interactive technology into the exhibition.
Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s family tree – this serves as an introduction panel for the guests to find out more on each and every family member of Sun Yat Sen. The information is available in both Chinese and English.
A family tree mini quiz has also been installed in the exhibition, allowing visitors to explore and understand the relationship between one-self and other family members. One of the highlights of this interactive is that the featured family members on screen are dressed in accordance to the characters lived – the early settlers wore plain clothes in older days while the younger gens wear fashion clothing. We are hoping that such treatment will appeal to the youngsters and enable them to relate to the family tree easily.
We have also developed a farming game that caters for the children and primary school students. The background of Dr. Sun Yat Sen where he grew up in a farming village inspired us to create this game. We wish to educate the children on the process of farming and raising poultry in the olden days. For instance, the children get the chance to learn about the farming information such as production period and growing tips through the game besides having fun.
All in all, “Dr. Sun Yat Sen and His Family” exhibition was a successful one that has gathered a warm response from publics. Ascend is honoured to have had the opportunity to work with Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and Gallagher & Associates Asia to succeed the event.
