In order to make education fun and interesting for the students, our in-house designers and programmers had design a series of games revolving around Zap, the sidekick mascot. The games include The Energy Squash, Kitchen Rescue, Sleep Tight!, The Great Energy Challenge and Photo Booth.

Our team have made use of Kinect sensor in designing “Let’s Spot it” and “Kitchen Rescue”. Players are tasked to spot and identify energy inefficient habits using motion gesture and solve the mini quiz game to score bonus points.

Case Study: Kingsmen (35th Dinner & Dance)

The Challenge:

Ascend were tasked to provide a full audio-visual and multimedia support at Ritz Carlton Hotel’s 6468 Sq ft. Grand Ballroom area reflecting Kingsmen’s 35th years anniversary in a classical Broadway theme. The event requires us to present all services from lighting, projection, content production, live entertainment and staging for almost 500 employees and guests.

The Solution:
Ascend incorporated the audio-visual design software, Dataton Watchout with a double 1920px x 1080px projection surface to allow for a number of different cues and content playing throughout the evening. We built a customized rear projection screen that is 17m x 4.1m to match the main stage area which was 24m x 7m
With over head rigging, intelligent lighting and 80 meter running drapes required, we ensured that these equipment were built-in such way that these did not impact on the visual element of main staging areas. We have also deployed three camera operators across the venue. Stage management and show calling headed by an experienced Event Manager for  integration of audio-visual components such as live to screen  as well as for coordination of speeches and performances was also provided and managed by Ascend.
The Result:
Overall, Ascend was able to provide a good quality multimedia production; we achieved a successful evening fit for the Stars, Kingsmen Management & Staff.
